Waiting Parents: Tara and Tim
Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and get a glimpse into who we are! Thank you for choosing life for your child and making the incredibly difficult decision you have made to choose adoption. Our promise to you is that this child will never feel unloved, or uncared for. We also promise to keep you as involved as you want to be in this lifelong process. Please know we, our family and friends, and our church are fervently praying for you and for this child. The saying is that it takes a village to raise a child, well, we have plenty of support.
About Tara (by Tim)
Tara is the most caring, generous, and thoughtful person I know and is my best friend as well. She has served others her entire life whether it be working at a summer camp when she was younger or working in childcare and now working with me in senior care for the past 16 years. She enjoys being with friends and family, movies, hiking and most of all, reading (she can always be found with a book in her hands and her eyes glued to the pages). She is devoted to her family and friends and has always wanted a child of her own to love on and care for but sadly that is not in the biological deck of cards that have been dealt to her. She would make a wonderful mother to the child that God has in mind for us. She is also firm in her faith and beliefs. She was raised by 2 of the most wonderful people and strongest Christians you could ever meet and the morals and values that they instilled in her will surely move on to our child.
About Tim (by Tara)
I met tim when he was only 9 years old. In the beginning, we didn’t always get along, but we were only kids! We have been through a lot together. We went to prom together as friends and as the years went on, we got closer to each other. At first there was no attraction or feelings, but we hung out as friends and built a foundation. I have watched Tim grow from a boy to a young man. I have seen him grow as a Christian and he is very generous, kind, and a great person to have in your corner. I have seen him with our nieces and nephews and know he will make a great dad. Tim was adopted, and as such, adoption has always been something he wanted to pursue if and when the opportunity presented itself. My love grows for him every day and I know we will provide a stable, safe, and a loving home for the child of God’s choosing.
We have been married for 15 wonderful years and have known each other for 31 years. We met after Tim and his parents moved to the Navajo reservation in Arizona and moved in across the street from Tara. We have been wanting to adopt for many years now, and are finally able to do so. We enjoy going out to Texas Ranger games, going to the movies, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. We both work as caregivers in assisted living and feel that is the field that God has called us to be in. We work separate shifts, but we always have the same days off to spend time with one another. All of our family lives in or near Texas and we see them often. Tim’s family lives in the DFW area and Tara’s family lives in the Houston area. We live in a 2-bedroom apartment in DFW in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parks and things to do nearby. Please, if you have any questions about us, feel free to ask! Again, thank you so much for considering us and we are so thankful to have the opportunity go on this journey with you and are extremely excited to see what God has in store for us!
