Waiting Parents: Ryan and Emily
We are Ryan and Emily Sweeten. We live in Rowlett, Texas with our dog Lilly. We are honored that you took the time to consider us! We are thrilled to start this journey to adoption! When we first started looking into options we weighed all of the pro and cons of different agencies, the foster system and even in vitro. After a lot of thought and consideration we decided Lifetree Adoption was a perfect fit for us! We couldn’t be more excited about becoming parents!
We met online and had a strong relationship from the beginning. We were married in December of 2016. Sadly because of turners syndrome we could not have children the “normal” way. But to us blood does not make a family, love does.
To any birthmothers considering us,
We have thought a lot about who you are, what you are like, and what we want to say to you. We guess the most important thing to say to you is thank you. Thank you for considering us. Thank you for trusting us with the child you have carried. Thank you for helping our dreams come true.
What you are going through and the decision you are making will not be easy. But you are making a decision that comes from a place of selflessness and with your child’s interest first. This makes you a great mom! We have known all along that having biological children was out of the question, and it took some time for us to decide on adoption. Now we are ready to take on this incredible adventure. The child you give birth to will be loved more than you can imagine!
Love, Ryan and Emily
