Waiting Parents: Jill and Cam
There is a song by Matthew West that I love to listen to as we prayerfully navigate this adoption journey. Some of the lyrics say, “Oh I don’t believe in accidents. Miracles, they don’t just happen by chance. As long as my God holds the world in his hands. I know that there’s no such thing as unplanned.”
We have been on quite a journey to get to this point and I am sure you have to. I do not doubt that it has been a hard and rough road travelled, but I do know my God is good and we believe when he says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We are praying for you and for your child to have a hope and a future. If their future is to be a part of our family, here is what we can offer: We can offer a Christ-centered home full of love. We are a family who loves each other and adventure. We can’t wait to add to our family.
Cam and Jill met in college at Texas A&M-Commerce. After dating for 4 years they were married in 2007. They made their home in Rockwall where Jill is an elementary teacher. Cam works in Dallas as a Business Development Manager. They chose Rockwall as their home because their family lives nearby and they are actively involved in their church and community.
Future big sister, Annistyn is a bright and creative 7 year old. She loves tumbling, piano, science and art. She has been praying for her future brother or sister.
We also have a dog named Paxton. He is a cuddly and sweet boxer. He likes to go on walks and get belly rubs.
As a family we enjoy working out, watching the Cowboys and traveling. You can often find us watching a Disney movie, reading books or playing games at night.
Cam is our family comedian. He keeps things light and fun! Cam is an amazing and hands on Dad. He is always encouraging and pushing us to be our best. There is never a shortage of laughter with Cam.
Jill is creative and loves learning. You can often find her reading a book or crafting with Annistyn.
Our heart’s desire is to add another child to this family. We have so much love to give and can’t wait to see what God has planned!
