Waiting Parents: Brendan and Kelsey
Hello! We are Brendan, Kelsey, and Eleanor. We are excited to introduce ourselves to you. We are honored and excited that you would consider us to be your child’s adoptive parents. We admire your courage and love for your child when making this adoption decision. We are praying for you as you make this brave decision for your child. We promise to take care, love, nurture, guide, and parent your child with our whole hearts. We are open to having an open relationship with you. Thank you for considering us!
A little about us! We met in high school chemistry class in 2008 and it’s safe to say we had “chemistry” together and formed a “bond”. We continued dating through high school and college and got married in 2015. We started our family journey in 2018, through years of infertility, we concluded that a family is not based on blood but a unit of love. We began our adoption journey in 2020 and adopted our little girl in 2021.
As a family we like to explore new parks, learn about animals at the zoo, escape the Texas heat in grandparents pool, and make memories by traveling to Disney World, New York, Arkansas, and Branson.
Kelsey loves that Brendan is fun, loving, and a patient person who is always up for an adventure. Brendan is a rad dad that is always up to play make believe games and dress up with Eleanor.
Brendan loves that Kelsey is loving, creative, and a supportive person who loves being a mother. Kelsey is a bomb mom that loves to make memories by baking and planning fun-filled family activities.
As parents we strive to teach Eleanor core family values such as love, compassion, kindness, integrity, and responsibility. We promise to continue this teaching with your child as well.
Brendan works in the Physical Therapy field and is working on becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. In his job, Brendan helps his patients walk, run, and play sports again. Kelsey is a second-grade teacher who loves to see the growth in her students and to foster their love of learning. Kelsey is fortunate to have summers off and extended breaks for spring break and holidays.
Both Brendan and Kelsey use their time off from work to create memories and spend quality time with Eleanor and family.
Eleanor is a silly, sassy, and energetic three-year-old girl. She loves to play dress up, paint, sing and dance to Disney songs, explore outside, and build with Magna-Tiles. We know Eleanor will be an amazing older sister because she is loving, caring, and playful with her cousins and friends.
We have a 10-year-old Lab names Lillian – Lilly for short. She loves when Eleanor takes her on walks, gives her pets, and treats. Eleanor loves to feed Lilly and make sure she has her puppy toy nearby. Lilly is a calm dog who is great with kids.
We are lucky to have both sets of grandparents within 30 minutes of our house. We are both very close to our families and have enjoyed seeing them be the best grandparents for Eleanor. Both of our families are happy and excited for us to grow our family and start our adoption journey again.
We live in a house south of Houston. Our house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One large family room, a kitchen great for baking, a dining room for family dinners, and a playroom. We fell in love with our house for its beautiful backyard. We have a large, covered patio that allows us to be outside even in the Texas Heat! We have a jungle gym that Eleanor loves to play and swing on. We love to spend time outside playing and watching movies on our projector.
