Waiting Parents: Blake and Kristin
Thanks for taking the time to check out our page. We have so much admiration for you, and we want you to know that you are being prayed for daily. We hope that you feel loved and supported as you go through your pregnancy with your sweet baby.
We are Blake and Kristin, and we live in a country suburb outside of Dallas, Texas. Just recently we moved into 1.5 story 4-bedroom home on over an acre of land with a swimming pool. Blake is a pastor and Kristin is an elementary school assistant principal. We have 3 biological children: Cade (12), Avie (10), and Nate (9).
In June 2003 we met, and almost immediately knew this was it. We spent most days or nights together between jobs and school, and we were married in December of the same year. Both of us were still pretty young, so we learned a lot together. Over the past 17 years we have built a wonderful relationship full of love, respect and communication.
We love God and people. We are a sports family, and cheer for the Oregon Ducks–Blake picked them for some reason (Blake: “Because they are awesome!”), so we are now all fans. We love to hang out by the pool when the weather is nice, and we enjoy a nice fire pit in the evening when it’s cooler. Our kids play outside with their friends by either riding bikes, playing kickball or football, or running around the neighborhood together. Our time is spent with friends and family, and we feel that we have been so blessed. Most of our family lives within driving distance, so we remain fairly close, and everyone is very supportive of one another.
Adoption has been on our hearts since the beginning of our marriage, but it was really in the last 6 months that we knew this was the direction our family was called to move. We were uncertain of a lot of things, but we trusted God to lead us, and we were so grateful to find Lifetree.
